Blickling Hall

Blickling estate belonged to  Sir John Fastolf of Caister and later the Boleyn family before being bought in 1616 by Sir Henry Hobart which was when construction of the existing hall began. The house was also requisitioned during World War II and served as a mess hall for a nearby Royal Air Force location. http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/blickling-estate/

It's a fish bowl ... get it?

That is what I pay for one term of school right now...inflation

I am sure the gardens are even prettier when it is warm out.

Bure Valley Railway

A couple of weekends ago we took the Bure Valley railway to get to Blicking Hall. It is an old fashioned steam railway.

It is a small train.

A very small train.

Oh and it was teddy bear express weekend, so this bear was
waiting at the other end to greet us.
