Blickling estate belonged to
Sir John Fastolf of Caister and later the Boleyn family before being bought in 1616 by Sir Henry Hobart which was when construction of the existing hall began. The house was also requisitioned during World War II and served as a mess hall for a nearby Royal Air Force location.
