Seals, Seals and More SEALS!!

Today we went out to see the seal colony at Blakeney Point!

The day started at 5:15 am with a 4 mile walk to the train station.

Then we took a train to Sheringham and the Coast Hopper to Blakeney Quay to pick up the tickets.

Once we got the tickets we walked along the Norfolk Coastal path to the next town over. The coastal path was a very muddy ridge that was very pretty but a very slippery 1.5 miles.

This guide sign was particularly helpful.
Once at the Morston Quay we had a little time to kill. So, we got some pictures of the seal carving there!

Then it was time to hike out to the boat. It was a very pretty sea shore path we were on.

All aboard the boat! This was our seat companion Henry.

The first seal siting!!

So many seals!!!

You could tell who were the show offs and curious ones :)

The really, really big grey ones are carrying pups who will be born around Thanksgiving!

Such a cutie!!

A couple of the seals got into a spat and their barking was confusing Henry.

Want to see more cuties like this guy? Check out my Facebook page for a full gallery of my pictures from the day. :)
